The regular season is a marathon that ends with a sprint. Understanding how the playoff structure works — and what it takes to qualify — should shape your strategy from Week 1 onward.
Regular season structure
In a standard SNS league, the regular season runs Weeks 1–13. Each week you face a different opponent in a head-to-head matchup. Your record (wins and losses) determines your playoff seeding.
Playoff qualification
Typically the top 4–6 teams by win-loss record qualify for the playoffs. In case of ties, points scored (total points for) serves as the tiebreaker — so running up the score in blowout wins is actually worth something.
Playoff bracket
The bracket seeds teams 1 through 6 (or 4, depending on league size). The top seeds get first-round byes or face lower seeds. Win-and-advance — one loss and you're done.
What weeks are the playoffs?
Playoff weeks depend on your league settings, but typical SNS schedules run:
- Quarterfinals: Week 14
- Semifinals: Week 15
- Championship: Week 16
Strategy implication
Target players whose teams have favorable matchups in Weeks 14–16. A player who has a monster regular season but faces elite defenses in the playoffs has lower value than one who peaks at the right time. Check the schedule before trade deadlines.
